Social Skills Group for Pre-Teens and Teenagers
Is your child struggling with his or her relationship with peers?

Does your child have temper tantrums or have difficulty controlling his or her anger?
Does your child have difficulty expressing himself or herself appropriately?
If the answer is yes to any of the questions above, your child may benefit from
learning appropriate social skills at a group setting. These skills are taught by
short introduction, fun activities, and games and through interaction with other
children in the group setting. The topics for the groups include:
Why Do We Have Rules?
Identification and Expression of Feelings
Problem-Solving and Decision Making
Communication and Peer Relationships
Coping Skills
Anger Management

This group is facilitated by Sari Niemi M.S., LPC, LSSP, and is for Middle and
High School aged children. The groups will be formed based on the age of the
participants, and it will meet on Thursdays, starting from July 17th at 6:00 pm
for 6 weeks. Each groups is about 60 minutes long. The cost is $35 per each
session. Receipt will be provided for insurance purposes if needed.
