My approach is grounded in warmth, genuineness, and a true appreciation for the inherent strength and resilience that exists in all of my clients.I view my role as a collaborator in your journey, with personal values around transparency, direct feedback, challenge, and respect for your autonomy. It is also important to me that in gaining a full understanding of your journey we speak openly to cultural variables, identity variables, and lived experiences currently shaping your world view.
As a licensed psychologist I provide individual and group therapy services to adults, with a particular specialty in working with college students. I also offer consultation services related to issues of mental health, multiculturalism and diversity, mentorship, and the early career development process of women and racial/ethnic minorities.
Dr. Nina Belfrom is a Licensed Psychologist working in college counseling and private practice. She received both her M.A. in Counseling Psychology and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Belfrom completed her doctoral internship with The Southern Louisiana Internship Consortium where she split her time between the Louisiana State University Mental Health Services and Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System. Dr. Belfrom’s professional interests include group therapy, multiculturalism/diversity, women’s issues, trauma, identity development, and existential theory.
